THE CARGO STORY

we all have wondered how things are transported to the various places they need to reach via air plane, even my self satisfying self have wondered the most fearful part of the search, how hearse are transported form one nation to another and the very incident of the illustrious son of the soil, the late Kofi Nyidevu Awoonor who lost his life in the recent attacks at the west gate shopping mall in kenya.

 I sat in my little corner and mulled over this for quite sometime and then said to myself,AH! I know! i could find out what goes in the entire process, so today on our aviation journey we took a stop at the airport to witness the loading of cargo aboard an air plane and my oh my was is  a fun treat, to see the jiggle and juggle of the surprises being moved on a cool little bus which had it's back open which i found being described as a mini trailer.

The swiftness in which they turn and take their gentle time to arrange things has left my mouth open quite a number of times with extremely dangerous thoughts running through my mind. I begin to wonder if the movie flight plan was an act of fiction or an actual story meant to give way to what my dream has always been; to find out how things work.

The things are wrapped in several layers of sheets one would actually think they are Christmas presents and are placed in boxes; animals are placed in cages and then in the cabin called the cargo holding area.

It could take a million wrappings to get things in the correct order to be placed in aboard the air craft. The Avant guard cargo truck which is the mixture of the old and new makes that trip of five minutes from the holding area to the hanger and back. The largest by far is run by the aviance cargo limited located at the Kotoka International Airport and termed the aviance village is the busiest in the west African sub region with a little of a million and more export of products which are flown out via cargo. Many things flown by cargo are pineapples which offer the dear nation something to lean on in terms of revenue and as such have one way or the other helped this nation to develop beyond words. So whenever you are in the vicinity make it a point to send something  smooth, something cool via cargo and you’ll never regret the experience delivery wise.
